Tomorrow morning we’ll be having a chat and deciding on the winery name and hammering out some other details. Exciting times! I’d like to thank everyone who submitted a suggestion, your feedback has been a real boost for all of us here.
Also a shout out to Tom Wark at Fermentation. His blog is one year old today, and going strong. I’ve only been at this a few weeks and I already appreciate the dedication it requires to post consistently, so cheers to Tom.
To celebrate Tom has a list of his top ten posts, of which my favorite by far is the collection of bad wine reviews. Here’s a choice one:
"-The wine had very vegetal, bizarre aromas. Unless you get excited over the smell of rotten vegetables interlaced with the scent of manure, there is nothing much to like about this wine.”
There’s plenty more. Just remember the fundamental theorem of good humor while you read through them: tragedy plus time equals comedy.
Until it’s your wine that gets a review like that, in which case it forever remains tragedy.
