Misc. Musings

– Dayna over at Calligraphylady.com should have our logo to us by mid January, so I suspect our label design should be complete as early as February. It’ll be fun posting the progression up here and getting feedback from the wine blogosphere.

- We’re talking quite a bit about whom we’d like most to hire on as a consulting winemaker for our first few years as we get off the ground. Come the new year we’ll be paying a visit to the guys and gals at the top of our list. Of all the things I look forward to in developing and working toward the winery, the prospect of being able to work with one of my winemaking heroes is at the very tip-top of the list.

- Last night Candace and I were able to see the baby’s heartbeat via sonogram. Baby is about the size of a bean, and the heart beats like a rabbit, twice as fast as a healthy adult. Candace is doing well and morning sickness seems to be subsiding. Only 31 more weeks to go!

- Finally Clare Hasler wrote to say that Terroir 2006 will go on as scheduled and that she’ll be providing more information about Ken Verosub’s departure later today.

Until then, I have some Christmas shopping to do. Any suggestions on what to get a pregnant wife?
