Tidings of Comfort and Joy

I’m off until after Christmas. I don’t expect I’ll be doing much blogging for one simple reason: I was insanely lucky yesterday and stumbled across an XBox while shopping for Candace. I went ahead bought it for a friend whose been searching high and low for one. The thing is, he’s on vacation in Hawaii until January 2 and he doesn’t mind if I open it. And there we are.

Wireless controllers and big screen TVs to all, and to all a good night.

…But since even this crass commercial dog can’t end a Christmas post on such a hollow note, here are some real Christmas tidings, brought to you by a goodly fellow named Luke and Santa Rosa legend Charles Schultz.

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And that’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown."

Merry Christmas!
