One of the interesting things we’re going to do for our inaugural vintage is give Capozzi wine buyers an option to have a row in Rebecca’s vineyard named after them, complete with a plaque nailed to the end of the row.
A mock-up of what the plaque may look like is to the right. A second copy will be sent to the row’s owner with a picture of the vines. My goal is to use RFID to be able to track which rows go in which barrels, and to provide a special bottling to row owners. Your grapes, from your row, in your bottle!
Row owners will also be able to drop by and help harvest if they feel like it (we can use the help!).
It’s the little touches like these that make me really excited about what we’re doing, and I’m having a blast trying to come up with interesting ways to help our winery -to-be connect with wine lovers.
