Just hit this, searching for a small goatskin bag into which I might put a tiny replica of one of those old German Venus sculptures, to present to Michael Chabon, whose name, as author of the Kavalier and Clay book duly credited, is not credited or even mentioned. Too late I suppose (or am I not seeing it, somewhere?), but also too bad. In any case, coincidentally (I don't believe in coincidence, but what this particular synchronicity might mean, if anything, is yet to be revealed...), just two nights ago a small group of folks got into discussing, amateurishly, red wine, and one of the group was decrying the use and overuse and use-alone of merlot. So now, on a search for a goatskin bag, I have an article to refer him to. Hmmmm. Melissa Dodworth, Boise ID
