Hey Alan,

The costs for the Use Permit itself are kind of a moving target. There is no set fee even for the county since they have to send out a copy of the plans to each department to get feedback. Each of these costs money, and depending on the complexity or need for mitigation the costs can rise.

Overall we budgeted 15K for the county, and another 10K or so for the consultants. Who knows if we'll come in anywhere near those numbers, but our out of pocket for the county has come in a few K under our estimate thus far.

Chat with you more tomorrow!

Hi Cathy!

I checked out your blog last week and was impressed with the candor in your OB article. Showed it to the wife and she had quite a chuckle.

Land prices in Oregon are downright affordable in some areas I've looked at. I'd love to hear more about your plans. What style of pinot will you be shooting for?

Thanks for the comments!

All my worries...I will be doing the same stuff but in Oregon and worry nights about everything I'm up against. Right now at least Oregon is very interested in getting the wine business going up there so things seem to be a little easier to do. Good luck to you.

When it comes down to actual the costs you have incurred for all these consultants do they stand up to your estimated numbers?

Thanks for the great stuff.
